Over 2,000 Bukovyna Residents Receive Medical Care During Mobile Team Visits to Four Communities

Bringing Healthcare Services Closer to Bukovyna Residents

According to Міністерство Здоров'я: More than 2,000 individuals across Bukovyna accessed medical care when multidisciplinary mobile medical teams visited four communities in the Chernivtsi region as part of the "Medicine Without Barriers" initiative. This program aims to make preventive, diagnostic, and consultative healthcare services more accessible to residents in remote areas.

Screenings and Vaccinations Conducted on Site

The medical teams provided services in the villages of Yablunytsia, Brusnytsia, Roztoky, and Berehomet over two days. Community members underwent fluorography and ultrasound examinations. Additional testing included screenings for:

• Hepatitis B and C viruses
• HIV
• Syphilis
• Blood glucose levels

In total, 2,386 residents received consultations from epidemiologists affiliated with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), along with vaccination recommendations aligned with the national immunization schedule. During the event, 133 preventive vaccinations were administered, contributing to the region’s overall health improvement.

This project plays a crucial role in ensuring healthcare accessibility for people living in distant villages who may face challenges visiting medical facilities. Mobile medical outreach like this can significantly enhance public health outcomes and raise community awareness about the importance of preventive care.
