Bringing the classroom to young patients

According to Міністерство Здоров'я: In the 2025–2026 school year, more than 22,500 children continued their education through the 'School of Superheroes', a network of hospital classrooms operating under the patronage of First Lady Olena Zelenska. The initiative lets children keep up with their studies while receiving medical care, and it also offers psychological support. Health Minister Viktor Liashko noted that for many young patients, extended treatment or rehabilitation is a daily reality, and this program allows them to stay on track academically.

Scale, reach, and key milestones

Across Ukraine, 26 educational centers make up the 'School of Superheroes' network, staffed by a team of more than 350 teachers, psychologists, and educators. Nearly 119,000 lessons were delivered this academic year. Among the students, 1,200 first-graders began their school journey in the program, while over 1,400 graduates prepared for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) while undergoing treatment.
