Talks Focus on Digitalization Priorities

According to Мінцифра: A meeting with Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk marked a key step in shaping the government's agenda. Discussions centered on budget allocation, the expansion of the Diia platform, cybersecurity, support for the IT sector, and building resilient communication networks along with an AI ecosystem.

Diia.City, a hub hosting over 4,500 resident companies-including GlobalLogic, SoftServe, EPAM, Grammarly, Monobank, Samsung, and Nokia-has been instrumental in driving IT sector growth. In the first half of 2026 alone, its residents contributed nearly 28 billion UAH in taxes, bringing the total tax revenue since the platform's launch to more than 93 billion UAH.

Internet Connectivity and AI Progress

Currently, 54% of Ukrainian households have access to xPON internet, and 92% of base stations can operate for up to 8 hours without power, demonstrating the reliability of the country's communication infrastructure. Over 24 million citizens actively use the Diia app and portal, underscoring the popularity of digital services. A major milestone was the launch of Diia.AI-the world's first national AI agent-which has already handled millions of requests. By the end of this year, roughly 20 new services are expected to be added to Diia. Work is also underway to develop a proprietary large language model (LLM) for Ukrainian, reflecting a push for technological sovereignty and improved electronic registries.

These digitalization efforts underscore Ukraine's commitment to embedding cutting-edge technology in governance and economic development. Building an IT ecosystem and deploying AI solutions can significantly enhance public services and government efficiency. This initiative also highlights Ukraine's broader digital transformation drive, which is key to boosting its international competitiveness. Diia is widely recognized as a pioneering digital government platform that brings services directly to citizens' smartphones.
