Visit of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to Chernihiv region
According to МВС: Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ivan Vygivskyi visited the Chernihiv region, where he held an operational meeting with the head of the regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, and the heads of security forces. The meeting discussed the security of border communities, the issue of shelling, and the evacuation of the population.
Since the beginning of the year, over seven and a half thousand shelling incidents have been recorded in Chernihiv region, which primarily affected civilian infrastructure. Since the beginning of summer, the occupiers have been actively using Banderolets to attack the region.
Mandatory evacuation and security issues
The mandatory evacuation has been ongoing for almost two months, covering 19 settlements in Chernihiv region. As a result of the evacuation, nearly 180 people have been transported, including 61 children. During his visit, Minister Vygivskyi spoke with military personnel concerning security issues at the border.

During the meeting, the following were present:
- leadership of the district military administration,
- heads of police and the State Emergency Service of the region,
- border guards,
- national guards and commanders of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The visit of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Chernihiv region underscores the importance of ensuring security in the border areas, which are constantly under attack from the enemy.
