Damage to undersea communication cables has been detected in the Red Sea, located off the coast of Africa. This has caused internet access issues in some regions of Asia and the Middle East. This was reported by the Associated Press.

Microsoft has notified that delays may occur in the Middle East due to the damage to undersea cables in the Red Sea. However, the corporation noted that this will not significantly affect overall internet traffic. According to the organization NetBlocks, deterioration in internet connection quality has been felt in India and Pakistan. A Pakistani telecommunications operator confirmed that disruptions occurred as early as Saturday. Problems with internet connection speed were also noted in the United Arab Emirates, but the authorities did not confirm this.

With the damage to undersea cables in the Red Sea, internet access issues have arisen in several countries. Although the authorities in some of these countries do not confirm the problems, users have already experienced a decline in connection quality.
