Search and rescue operations in Ternopil completed: 33 people died

The nationwide search and rescue operations in Ternopil have been completed, lasting for 4 days. Units of the State Emergency Service from 9 regions, dog handlers, heavy machinery, medical personnel, and psychologists were involved. The operations were conducted under challenging conditions, including manually identifying locations on the 5th to 6th floors.

Unfortunately, 33 people died, including 6 children. 94 individuals were injured, including 18 children. 46 people were rescued, including 7 children. Additionally, 6 persons are missing, including 1 child. During the rescue operations, 3 pets (2 cats and a parrot) were found and returned to their owners. Investigations are ongoing.

In conclusion, it is emphasized that the search and rescue operations in Ternopil have been completed and were successfully carried out due to the teamwork of rescuers from all over the country, however, investigative actions are still ongoing to determine the causes of the incident and the fate of all missing persons.
