It is noted that released Ukrainians will be able to identify missing persons.
"At the initial stage, the function is available for those who have recently returned from captivity. Later, it will be open to all military personnel and civilians who experienced imprisonment in Russian detention facilities during the Russian aggression. To identify and speed up the search, families should also pay attention to the complete filling of the Personal Account, including materials with photographs," the message states.
Results of the Test Launch
- location and condition of 281 captives: both military and civilians;
- 860 cases of inadequate detention conditions;
- new places of detention for 34 people.
Also, information about the places of detention has been confirmed for 187 people.
Military and civilian Ukrainians who have returned from captivity have the right to free services at rehabilitation centers and medical institutions, and their relatives can receive such assistance both while their loved ones are in captivity and after their return.
Ukrainian defenders and civilians who have returned from captivity have gained the ability to find missing persons faster, and acquire and provide important information about other prisoners. The test launch of the function has already shown some results regarding the location, condition, and detention conditions of prisoners, which allows for more effective coordination of assistance and support for these individuals.
