According to ДСНС: Firefighter and rescuer Oleksandr Zibrov has died after an 18-day struggle for life. The 36-year-old, who served with the 24th State Fire and Rescue Unit, sustained severe injuries during a second Russian missile strike on Kyiv's Darnytskyi district on January 9. His death underscores the immense dangers faced by first responders in Ukraine, who continue their life-saving work under relentless attack.

His colleague, Andrii Danyk, announced the passing, stating:

"Another difficult day for the State Emergency Service family: unfortunately, after 18 days fighting for his life, we have lost our colleague-36-year-old firefighter and rescuer Oleksandr Zibrov. He was with other comrades when they were hit by a second Russian strike on January 9 in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district." - Andrii Danyk
