Working Pensioners in Line for Up to 1,200 Hryvnia Bonus in June

Working pensioners will receive a supplement of up to 1200 hryvnias in June
Пенсіонери, які працюють, отримають до 1,200 гривень виплат у червні.

Pension Boost for Employed Retirees

According to ХВИЛЯ: A group of Ukrainian pensioners will see larger payments as soon as June. The recalculation targets those who are still working and did not receive an adjustment last year. This process runs automatically every two years, requiring at least 24 months of additional service after the pension was first granted.

Eligible retirees will get a one-time lump sum covering April, May, and June, potentially reaching 1,200 hryvnia. The average pension used in the calculation is 6,000 hryvnia. In June, the missed amounts will be paid all at once, with the monthly increase for an average pension coming to roughly 400 hryvnia. This supplement includes a bonus for extra years of service-about 25 hryvnia and 95 kopecks for each additional year worked-plus an updated individual service coefficient.

Conditions for the Pension Recalculation

It is important to note that the automatic recalculation only applies to those who completed two years of service before March 1 of this year. If the two-year mark falls later, in summer or autumn, individuals must visit the Pension Fund in person and submit a written request for recalculation. Those who already received an adjustment last year will not qualify for a new payment this year. Additionally, pensioners who submit monthly reports will not get the June supplement; their increase was already applied in April.

Anyone whose salary was significantly above the national average should also consider filing a recalculation request. As the 'Narodna Dumka' channel explains,

“The pension you receive in July will be lower than the one in June, because June includes a bonus for the two missed months.”

As a result, working pensioners who meet the criteria can expect higher payments, which will undoubtedly improve their financial situation in the coming months.

Raising pension payments for employed retirees is a key step in supporting social stability in Ukraine. It helps improve the finances of those who continue working after retirement age, offering them extra support amid economic challenges. The automatic biennial recalculation also highlights the importance of a social safety net for older workers, as it accounts for their continued service and contributions to the pension fund.

As many working pensioners prepare for their upcoming bonuses, it's essential to understand the various types of pension supplements available. For those looking to maximize their benefits, exploring different eligibility criteria for pension supplements can provide valuable insights into potential additional payments. This knowledge can be crucial for ensuring that retirees receive the maximum financial support they are entitled to.
