Ukraine and France are creating joint enterprises: details of the defense agreement

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko met with the special envoy of the President of France for aid and reconstruction of Ukraine, Pierre Elbron. They discussed the strategic areas of future cooperation between the countries.

The main focus was on issues related to defense sector projects and a reparations loan based on frozen Russian assets to ensure Ukraine's financial and social stability, as well as its defense capability. The European Council is expected to make a decision on this matter in December.

“The Council was ready to meet and discuss the strategic areas of our cooperation,” shared the impressions of the Prime Minister.

During the meeting, they also discussed the initiative to support culture through the newly established Ukrainian Heritage Fund. Svyrydenko expressed gratitude to Elbron for his assistance to Ukraine and expressed hope for further partnership between Ukraine and France.
