After the stormy wind and high waves that recently battered the coast of Odessa region, the coastline of Odessa was covered with tons of seaweed. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to 'Dumskaya'.

Correspondents of the publication note that whole mountains of green mass have formed on the beaches. Because of it, vacationers find it difficult to reach the sea - they are literally paving their way.

Now the resort season is in full swing, and the number of people wishing to swim is not decreasing due to the problem. Therefore, many people calmly relate to the situation.

On social media, vacationers share photos of the seaweed. In the comments, people talk about their benefits, pointing to the high iodine content in their composition.

Locals add that the beach workers are cleaning the seaweed. However, in some cases, even tractors have to be brought in for the job.

Beaches that are open in Odessa

In Odessa, the following beaches are functioning: 'Itaka', 'Bufet' at Malenkiy Fontan, 'Grand Petting', 'Kuba', 'Kaleton', 'Sigal Beach', 'Public', 'Underhill', 'Liberty', 'Ibiza', 'Varadero', 'Korablilk', 'Kiwi', 'Coconut', 'Coconut-Resort', five sections of 'Solo Beach', 'Lanzheron', two zones between traverses No. 14 and No. 15 of the 'Golden Beach', a municipal beach for people with disabilities at the 11th station of Great Fountain, the municipal beaches 'Chayka' and 'Kurortny', and an inclusive beach 'Bezmezh'.

It should be noted that despite the shelling of Odessa and the recommendations to refrain from swimming in the sea due to the threat of enemy mines, Ukrainians still go on vacation to Odessa. Therefore, 'Glavkom' investigated the cost of daily apartment rentals by the sea. In particular, the cost of the cheapest apartment per day is 1000 UAH - this is the amount you will have to pay for the proximity to Lanzheron beach.

It should also be noted that a similar problem exists in Spain. Tons of seaweed have flooded the beaches of the country.

After the storm in Odessa, seaweed has accumulated on the beaches, complicating access to the sea for vacationers. Locals calmly relate to the situation, as they are convinced of the benefits of seaweed and even share photos and comments online. Meanwhile, the resort season continues, and tourists still choose Odessa for their vacation, ignoring some difficulties at the beaches.
