Mandatory evacuation of children from frontline areas: over 3 thousand people have already been evacuated
Mandatory evacuation of children and their parents
According to Кулеба: The mandatory evacuation of more than 3 thousand children and their parents from frontline settlements in Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions was a response to the difficult security situation in the region. In particular, 651 children were evacuated from 4 settlements in Zaporizhia region, while 2463 children were taken out from 40 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk region.
In addition, mandatory evacuation was announced in Chernihiv region on December 30, concerning 14 settlements. Since the beginning of June, a total of 150 thousand people have been evacuated, among whom:
- almost 18 thousand children;
- over 5 thousand people with limited mobility.
To coordinate the processes, 17 transit centers are operational, and more than 80 thousand places for temporary accommodation of internally displaced persons have been prepared.
A 24/7 hotline 15-48 is available for information regarding evacuation. All these measures aim to ensure the safety of children and their families in the difficult conditions that have arisen in the regions where hostilities are ongoing.
