Priority in University Admission Applications: Tips for Applicants
Ukrainian applicants have already started submitting applications for admission to universities for 2025. Changes in the rules for submitting applications for medical, veterinary, and pharmaceutical specialties have been announced by representatives of the State Enterprise 'Inforesource'.
According to the new rules, priorities must be indicated for all applications – both for budget and for contract. If necessary, an applicant can submit two separate applications for one competition offer: the first for budget or contract, and the second exclusively for contract.
“Based on the results of targeted placement for the application for budget/contract, a recommendation can only be obtained for a budget place, and for the application for contract - only for a contract place”
In total, an applicant may submit up to 15 applications, of which no more than 5 may be for budget. Priorities can be indicated from 1 to 15, in any order.
The application process consists of two stages. The first stage is receiving recommendations after targeted placement for budget or contract depending on the specialty. The second stage is receiving recommendations after enrollment according to the algorithm.
“In case of receiving a recommendation for budget and refusing it, the applicant will not be able to receive a state grant”
It is important to remember that an applicant can cancel the application at different stages, but after registration, this will be impossible. If the application has gone through targeted placement, it is necessary to confirm the choice of educational institution by August 9.
The rules for submitting applications to universities during the admission campaign 2025 set new conditions for applicants. They must now carefully choose priorities when submitting applications, which may significantly affect their ability to obtain a state grant or a contract spot. There is less time left before entering universities, so future students need to be vigilant and timely comply with the requirements of the new rules.
