According to the predictions, atmospheric fronts will cover a significant part of the Left Bank on March 6, leading to light precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain. Nighttime temperatures will range from +3 to -4 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will be between +2 and +9 degrees. No sharp weather changes are anticipated by March 9-10.

Regarding the past winter, it was colder than the climatic norm. The average winter temperature in Kyiv was -4 degrees Celsius, making the 2020-2021 winter the coldest in the capital since 2010-2011. The coldest day of the winter was February 10, when nighttime temperatures plunged to -20 degrees. A representative from the Hydrometeorological Center noted:

“Weather patterns in March can range from almost summer-like to truly wintry.”

In turn, Natalia Ptukha added:

“We are expecting genuine spring weather.”

Thus, the new month promises shifts in weather conditions that could influence the atmosphere across Ukraine.

The atmospheric changes forecast for early March may impact agriculture and the daily lives of Ukrainians. Weather conditions during this period typically play a crucial role in planning seasonal work, so farmers may factor these forecasts into their activities. Furthermore, information about the past winter is important for understanding long-term climate trends in Ukraine, which can also be significant for various sectors of the economy. For context, Ukraine's climate is continental, with significant seasonal variations that affect everything from energy use to crop yields.
