Ukraine will save 575 million on energy: how state buildings will become independent

State buildings will receive solar stations and energy certificates
Економія в енергетичному секторі: як державні установи забезпечать свою автономність.

Ukraine is pushing energy efficiency of state buildings forward! The new program envisages energy certification and the installation of solar power plants with storage systems at hundreds of facilities across the country. According to experts, this will help save over half a billion hryvnias per year and bring Ukraine a step closer to energy independence.

Currently, state institutions spend about 90 billion hryvnias on energy carriers, but thanks to energy efficiency, these costs could be reduced almost by half – to 45 billion hryvnias per year. The main thing is that this will not only reduce costs but also make the work beneficial for citizens, as every hryvnia saved from the budget can be directed to social programs or other needs of people.

'Taxes should work for citizens, not disappear into energy bills. Every hryvnia saved means more stable prices for essential goods', emphasizes Hanna Zamazeyeva, head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency.

The #EnergyIndependence program has been actively progressing over the past year, laying the groundwork for further achievements. By the end of 2025, this approach is planned to continue to ensure annual savings and maintain energy security.

Ukraine is actively moving towards increasing the energy efficiency of state buildings, which can lead to significant savings of funds and improved living conditions for citizens.
