According to Главком: The prosecutor's office has applied to the court with a motion to arrest the Ferris Wheel in Podil due to the unsatisfactory condition of the attraction. The main reason for this decision is the rotting of the wooden beams on which the metal structure is mounted. According to the prosecutor's office, these signs of deep rot and destruction may pose a risk to the safety of the attraction's users.

It is worth noting that the criminal proceedings are being conducted under part 2 of article 272 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The Ferris Wheel was brought from France and installed in Podil in 2017. Since its launch, the attraction has repeatedly raised concerns about its safety.

In July 2024, law enforcement agencies had already checked the operation of the Ferris Wheel after a tragic incident in which a man died due to a cable failure on the cable car. This case further emphasized the need for careful monitoring of the technical condition of attractions in the city.
