The prosecution unveiled illegal centers
Прокуратура викрила незаконні реабілітаційні заклади: 287 осіб, серед яких семеро дітей, утримувалися без правових підстав.

Exposure of illegal rehabilitation centers

According to Главком: The prosecution of Dnipropetrovsk region uncovered rehabilitation centers where 287 people were held illegally, including seven children. It was established that these facilities had no appropriate licenses for operation and engaged in financial abuses, obtaining up to 6 thousand hryvnias per month from the patients' relatives.

Children who ended up in these centers were aged between 14 and 17 years. It is known that law enforcement notified four individuals related to this crime of suspicion. During the searches, 180 phones, computers, as well as weapons and cash were seized.

Ruslan Kravchenko, commenting on the situation, noted that 'the centers were simply profiting from the grief of people without providing any help'.

Society's reaction and further actions

This incident caused significant resonance in society, as such actions contradict fundamental human rights and the requirements of Ukrainian legislation. The prosecution continues the investigation to ensure accountability for all those guilty in this case.

The exposure of illegal rehabilitation centers underscores the importance of monitoring such institutions, as there is a serious problem with children's rights and their protection in Ukraine. This case may become a catalyst for strengthening legislation regarding rehabilitation institutions and improving control mechanisms to ensure greater safety for vulnerable population groups.

Yuriy Papusha emphasized that 'children were deprived of their liberty' and that 'the facts established by the investigation indicate gross violations of children's rights, the protection of which is an unconditional priority for the prosecution authorities'.
