Maxim Manzhosov's Service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces

According to Прокуратура Київ: Following the full-scale invasion in February 2022, prosecutor Maxim Manzhosov chose to enlist in the Ukrainian military. He brought with him prior combat experience, having served in an air assault brigade during the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in the Donbas region from 2014 to 2015. Leaving his legal career behind, Manzhosov joined a territorial defense battalion and has been actively engaged in frontline combat ever since.

His combat path has been extensive, starting with the Kharkiv counteroffensive and continuing through the brutal battles for Bakhmut and Avdiivka, leading to his participation in the ongoing Kursk operation. He currently serves on the Sumy front, where he continues to fulfill his duties. The ATO was Ukraine's initial military response to Russian-backed separatists, a conflict that has now escalated into a full-scale war.

“After what you've been through, the commitment to 'serve the state and the people' ceases to be just a phrase. This principle becomes a part of you. It's an oath you carry for life.” - Maxim Manzhosov
