According to Главком: A tragic accident involving a prosecutor in the Lviv region has resulted in the death of one child and the hospitalization of another. The driver was a prosecutor from one of the district prosecutor's offices in Lviv Oblast. The incident occurred after dark as the driver was returning home from work. No signs of alcohol intoxication were found in the driver.

The State Bureau of Investigation is conducting an inquiry into the circumstances of the crash. The prosecutor has been detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko, has taken personal control of the proceedings and expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased child. He noted that
