According to hvylya.net: Ukraine is actively implementing a National Drug Verification System with 2D coding. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Health Issues Mykhailo Radutskyi announced this. The launch of the system will help combat counterfeiting and ensure patients receive quality medications.
'In 2022, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a Euro-integration law on pharmaceuticals, which provides for the establishment of a National Verification System. This will make it impossible to counterfeit drugs and ensure quality for patients. One of the key elements is 2D coding on packaging,' Radutskyi noted.
The implementation of the National Drug Verification System is an important step in ensuring patient safety and combating counterfeit medications in Ukraine.
