Countering the 'Shaheds': Ukraine calls on partners to finance interceptor drone program

According to hvylya.net: At the OSCE Forum on Security Cooperation in Vienna, Ukrainian diplomat Rostislav Palahusynets urged partners to support the financing of an interceptor drone program to counter the Shahed strike drones that are frequently used by Russia.

Palahusynets emphasized: 'We are grateful to our partners for their assistance and urge them to continue supplying advanced air defense systems to Ukraine and to support the interceptor drone program, which is effectively used against Russia's aerial attacks.'

'This is not the behavior of a state that seeks peace. On the contrary, it reflects the behavior of a state that uses diplomacy as a tool of war,' he emphasized.

The diplomat also called for tightening EU and US sanctions against Russia to deter it from continuing military actions against Ukraine, condemning attacks on Ukrainian cities and the escalation of hostilities.

'Russia continues to attack, and this reflects its true attitude toward the efforts of states for peace. No tactic of deception will shield the aggressor from accountability,' he stressed.

Palahusynets also highlighted the importance of the European Court's decision in the case of Ukraine and the Netherlands against Russia, which, in his opinion, confirms the commitment to peace and justice, stating that Ukraine does not intend to remain defenseless against aggression.
