According to ХВИЛЯ: The minimum subsistence level for pensioners in Ukraine will increase in 2026, which will lead to an increase in the minimum pension and supplements for persons with disabilities. Starting from the new year, the minimum subsistence level for pensioners will be 2595 hryvnias, which is 234 hryvnias more than the previous figure. This increase will automatically affect the amount of the minimum pension, which will also rise by this same amount.
Supplements for persons with disabilities
Moreover, the amount of the supplement for persons with disabilities due to the war varies from 842 to 1521 hryvnias. Payments for veterans with disabilities differ by groups:
- For group I – 16847.50 hryvnias
- For group II – 13623.75 hryvnias
- For group III – 9342 hryvnias
For persons with group III disabilities, the minimum amount starting from January will be 2361 hryvnias.
Pension expert Viktor Bohdanov noted that these changes will contribute to improving the financial situation of pensioners and persons with disabilities, which is an important step in the country's social policy.
The increase in the minimum subsistence level for pensioners and persons with disabilities in Ukraine is part of a social reform aimed at improving the living conditions of vulnerable groups of the population. This increase may reduce the financial burden on pensioners who often face difficulties in meeting their basic needs. It is also important to note that such changes may stimulate economic activity, as an increase in the income of a certain category of the population raises their purchasing power.
