According to МВС: In Chernihiv, police psychologists have turned to unconventional methods of treating injured defenders. Through canine therapy, supported by furry therapists, they aim to alleviate suffering and improve the well-being of those involved in the events.
Feedback from session participants has been very positive. The dogs help reduce stress, boost mood, and inspire further recovery after trauma. This initiative operates with the support of Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska, highlighting the importance of psychological support during rehabilitation.
“Dogs help me recover from injuries, lift my spirits, and energize me for future efforts,” shared one of the event participants.
Meetings with animals demonstrate how vital simple and unconventional help can be in a difficult period of life. For injured defenders, this can become a real support on the path to recovery and a fulfilling life.
