Kremlin Spokesman Acknowledges Russia's War Aims Remain Unfulfilled

According to ХВИЛЯ: On February 24, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine continues because its stated objectives have not yet been achieved. He emphasized that Moscow's primary declared goal is to ensure the security of people in eastern Ukraine. Peskov noted that the four-year-long war has evolved into a large-scale confrontation, and Russia currently remains open to achieving its aims through political and diplomatic means.

In his remarks, Peskov also indicated that Moscow has held hope for a negotiated end to the conflict from the very beginning. He added,

“Our position is well-understood and consistent. Now everything depends on the actions of the Kyiv regime.”
