Russian President Vladimir Putin set new conditions for ending the conflict in Ukraine, presenting an ultimatum to the Ukrainian leadership during a meeting with the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The first condition is the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from certain regions. Putin emphasized the preservation of the administrative borders of these regions, which were defined when they were annexed to Ukraine.

The second condition is an official renunciation of the intention to join NATO. Putin urged Kiev to notify about this decision.

'If Kiev agrees to these conditions, begins the withdrawal of troops, and renounces its intentions to join NATO, we are ready for a ceasefire and the start of negotiations,' said Putin.

After that, the announced visit of American leader Donald Trump to Putin and new sanctions against Russia.

The Russian leadership issued an ultimatum to the Ukrainian leadership, demanding the withdrawal of troops and a renunciation of the intention to join NATO.
