Russia’s Massive Strike on Ukraine: 10 Dead, Over 80 Missiles and 600 Drones Launched
Large-Scale Assault on Ukraine
According to Міністерство інфраструктури: In a devastating overnight offensive, Russian forces unleashed roughly 80 missiles of various types and more than 600 drones across Ukraine. The attack claimed the lives of 10 people. The capital, Kyiv, bore the brunt of the assault, where four people were killed and over 50 wounded, including children. Residential buildings, a clinic, and civilian infrastructure in the city sustained damage.
Strikes on Other Regions
The Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions also came under fire. In Dnipropetrovsk, six people died and 36 were injured, with children among the casualties. In the Odesa region, Russian troops targeted a hospital and a maternity ward where new mothers and infants were present at the time. Fortunately, no casualties were reported there.
“I extend my condolences to the families of those whose lives were taken by the terrorist state,” said an unidentified official.
He also emphasized that “Russia has once again deliberately struck civilian infrastructure, residential neighborhoods, hospitals, and facilities with no military significance whatsoever.” This attack underscores the severe threat to Ukraine’s civilian population.
The scale and intensity of this assault highlight the ongoing nature of Russia’s military campaign against Ukraine, particularly its focus on targeting non-military sites. The rising number of civilian casualties reflects an escalation of the conflict and its grave humanitarian toll.
