Russia carried out a massive strike on Ukraine on October 5, resulting in the deaths of five people, including a child. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky during his address after the 1320th day of the war. According to Zelensky's words, the enemy fired 53 missiles and nearly 500 attack drones into Ukrainian territory. Some of them were destroyed by the Ukrainian air defense, but some still reached their targets. 'In Lviv region, four people died, including one child. There is also one casualty in Zaporizhzhia region. My condolences to the relatives and loved ones. There is currently information about 18 injured. Everyone is being provided assistance,' said Zelensky. The President pointed out that the Russian strikes are aimed at civilian objects, specifically at energy infrastructure, enterprises, warehouses, and residential buildings. Zelensky emphasized that the Kremlin's goal is to attack gas and electrical infrastructure before the onset of winter. Next week, a meeting of the sanctions coordinators of the 'Group of Seven' is scheduled. Ukraine is preparing to provide its proposals regarding sanctions and restrictions on the supply of critical components to Russia, as well as the imposition of Ukrainian sanctions against those who support the Russian military machine.
