The EU allocated €37.5 million for the reconstruction of Ukraine: what will be restored first
According to Кулеба: The EU4Reconstruction program, a joint project of the European Union countries, includes the governments of Denmark, Germany, France, and Lithuania. The main goal is to create a modern reconstruction management system to assist the state and communities in planning and coordinating projects.
The program's budget amounts to €37.5 million over three years, focusing on preparing high-quality projects, submitting them for funding, and monitoring their implementation. Digital tools are also being implemented for project monitoring and ensuring transparency in resource use.
Areas of work for EU4Reconstruction
- Strengthening the reconstruction management system and the regulatory framework in Ukraine;
- Assisting communities in planning, financing, and implementing projects according to EU standards;
- Supporting the Recovery Agency in implementing large public investments;
- Expanding the participation of citizens, NGOs, and media in monitoring reconstruction processes.
The program's author expressed gratitude to European partners for their support and teamwork. Reconstruction is an important process that unites the state, communities, and partners for restoring life where it has been destroyed by war.
