According to Главком: Emergency repairs to a damaged water main beneath the roadway in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district have necessitated traffic restrictions on Prorizna and Starokyivska streets. The work is currently affecting two key locations in the city center. This type of infrastructure repair is a common challenge in many historic urban areas.

Specific Restrictions and Water Outages

Repairs to a 400 mm diameter pipeline began at 10:30 AM on February 4th at Prorizna Street, 15. This has led to a partial traffic closure in the direction of Khreshchatyk Street. Furthermore, water supply has been temporarily suspended at the following addresses on Prorizna Street:

Separate traffic restrictions are also in place on Naberezhne Highway in the Pecherskyi district until February 5th from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and on a section of Volodymyrska Street (43-45) in the Shevchenkivskyi district until February 6th.

The ongoing repairs on these major thoroughfares are expected to increase traffic congestion across the capital. Residents at the affected addresses will experience water supply disruptions.
