Jealousy Leads to Fatal Beating of Woman in Kyiv Region

Tragic Incident in the Town of Ukrainka

According to Главком: A 35-year-old man in Ukrainka, located in the Obukhiv district, fatally beat his 40-year-old partner during a heated argument. The altercation, fueled by jealousy, occurred while the couple was drinking alcohol together. The attacker struck the woman repeatedly in the face and head with his fists, causing injuries that led to her death.

“In the town of Ukrainka, a 35-year-old man struck his common-law wife multiple times during a conflict, resulting in her death. The suspect faces up to 10 years in prison,” the Kyiv region police press service reported.

The suspect has been charged under Article 121, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which covers grievous bodily harm leading to death. Police detained the man under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and he has been placed in pretrial custody.
