The Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with a record number of UAVs

According to glavcom.ua: Details of the attack:

Last night, the terrorist army of the Russian Federation carried out an attack on Ukraine using 741 aerial assaults, as reported by the publication 'Glavkom' citing the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

• 728 strikes were carried out using Shahed-type UAVs and imitation drones from various directions from the Russian Federation, including Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Oryol, and Millerovo;
• Seven X-101/'Iskander-K' cruise missiles were launched from Engels in the Saratov region and the Kursk region;
• Six air-ballistic X-47M2 'Dagger' missiles were sent from the Lipetsk region.

According to the Air Forces, the main direction of the attack was Volyn, specifically the city of Lutsk. Measures were taken against the aviation, air defense missile troops, electronic warfare units, and other defense units of Ukraine to eliminate enemy means.

By 08:30, 718 enemy means had been destroyed, of which 303 were shot down, and 415 were lost locally. In particular, 296 Shahed-type UAVs were destroyed, and 415 were locally lost/suppressed during the attack. Seven X-101/'Iskander-K' cruise missiles were also shot down. Hits of enemy attack means and falls of downed ones were recorded at four and 14 locations respectively.

The number of aerial assaults, their characteristics, and successfully conducted defense confirm the increasing tension in eastern Ukraine and underline the necessity of supporting international efforts to resolve the conflict.
