Russia prepares for a major offensive in August: which country will help Putin

According to glavcom.ua: North Korea is preparing to send additional troops to Russia as early as August 2025. This move is related to the fact that the DPRK will receive technologies from Moscow for launching satellites and guiding missiles. This information was shared by deputy Lee Song-Kwun, referring to Reuters and his own sources in the National Intelligence Service (NIS).

According to South Korean intelligence, Russia is planning a large-scale offensive operation against Ukraine in August, which may explain the dispatch of North Korean troops. North Korea has already begun mobilizing troops for these purposes and is also negotiating technical agreements with Moscow to receive certain technologies in exchange for military support.

Earlier, the leaders of North Korea and Russia signed a mutual defense pact, paving the way for cooperation in military technology and engineering. In addition, there may be a dispatch of workers from North Korea to Russia to participate in drone production.
