Russia has started a new stage of aerial terror against the civilian population
According to Главком: Russia has initiated a new phase of aerial terror against the civilian population of Ukraine, which, according to Colonel Maxim Zhorin of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is related to its failures on the front lines. The deputy commander of the Third Army Corps noted that the escalation of missile and drone terror indicates that Russian troops are unable to achieve their plans at the line of contact, and therefore are increasingly attacking peaceful cities and civilians.
On the night of June 2, Russia launched a massive combined attack on Kyiv, during which ballistic and cruise missiles as well as attack drones were used. As a result of this strike, six people died and over 60 were injured. This incident serves as a vivid confirmation of the new tactics of the aggressor who is trying to intimidate the population.
"It is important to realize that the Russians have started a new stage of aerial terror. They are currently unable to implement their plans at the front. Since they cannot counter us on the front lines, they will increasingly attack peaceful cities and civilians," - Maxim Zhorin.
Maxim Zhorin called on Ukrainians to prepare for new shelling, respond to alarms, and have supplies of necessary items. Zhorin also highlighted the importance of undergoing military training courses, particularly tactical medicine, to enhance the safety of the population.
Previously, Zhorin stated that genuine peace negotiations with Russia will only be possible when the Defense Forces stop the advance of the occupation troops. The situation at the front continues to be tense, and new attacks may pose a serious threat to the civilian population.
Threat to Civilians
The new stage of aerial terror from Russia underscores the increasing threat to civilians in Ukraine in the context of the failures of Russian forces at the front. The use of missiles and drones to attack peaceful cities indicates a change in the aggressor's tactics, which seeks to intimidate the population and sow panic. These events also highlight the importance of Ukrainian readiness for new challenges arising from the escalation of the conflict.
In light of the recent attacks, it is important to note that intelligence has already named the timelines for preparing massive strikes from Russia, which could significantly impact the safety of the civilian population. The rising threat demands that Ukrainians be prepared for new challenges and shelling, making this information particularly relevant under the current circumstances.
