Rivne buys four used Škoda trolleybuses in the Czech Republic for UAH 12.48 million

In Rivne, a decision has been made to purchase four Škoda 26 Tr Solaris trolleybuses: the only participant in the tender offered the vehicles for UAH 12.48 million. This will continue the updating of the trolleybus fleet in the city. This is reported by the public initiative «For a Fair Tender».

The proposal was submitted by LLC «Modern Trucks», thus there will be no auction. Currently, KP «Rivneelektroavtotrans» is checking the participant's documents for compliance with the tender requirements.

What the Škoda trolleybuses for Rivne will be like

We are talking about four low-floor trolleybuses manufactured in 2009-2010. Previously, they operated in the Czech city of Teplice. According to the post, each vehicle is designed for 85 passengers and has 24 seats.

The total cost of the purchase is UAH 12 million 480 thousand. According to the authors of the post, the trolleybuses are not the newest, but they are in decent condition. Their detailed characteristics are provided in the tender documentation.

After the proposal is verified and the contract is signed, the supplier must deliver the vehicles within 60 days. The estimated delivery time is by mid-December.

Who is supplying trolleybuses for Rivne

LLC «Modern Trucks» has already collaborated with Rivneelektroavtotrans. Earlier, the company sold the city four slightly newer Solaris trolleybuses for UAH 13.2 million. Other changes in the city's transportation system concern payments: Rivne is transitioning to cashless payments.

If the participant's documents meet the tender requirements, the purchase will be completed with the signing of the contract. After that, the city expects four trolleybuses from Teplice approximately by mid-December. Earlier, Rivne also planned to purchase four used Škoda trolleybuses for UAH 12.48 million.
