Russia has intensified its offense: what the capture of 505 km² in a month means

According to ХВИЛЯ: Russia is intensifying military actions on the front, particularly around Pokrovsk, trying to create the impression of initiative. Vladimir Putin announced the capture of the city, however, the situation remains disputed. Russian troops have advanced in several directions, including Myrnohrad and the Zaporizhia region, where the activity of Russian forces has noticeably increased.

In particular, Myrnohrad is nearly surrounded by Russian troops, indicating growing pressure in this direction. Russian forces have also approached Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, which could change the situation on the front. In November, Russian forces occupied 505 km² of territory, which is a significant increase compared to October when 267 km² were captured. This trend indicates the intensification of offensive actions by Russia.

Situation on the front

The Kremlin is preparing for winter battles, and Ukrainian officials have reported massive attacks using drones and rockets. On the night of Friday and the morning of Saturday, Russia launched an attack with over 650 drones and 51 rockets, indicating intentions to continue the pressure on Ukrainian positions. The situation on the front remains tense, and events in the coming days may significantly impact the further development of the conflict.

The intensification of Russia's military actions, especially in the context of capturing new territories, suggests an attempt by the Kremlin to change the course of the conflict to its advantage. This may have serious consequences for Ukrainian forces, which are already feeling pressure on several fronts. Preparation for winter battles and the use of drones indicate an escalation of the conflict, requiring attention from the international community and analysis of possible responses from Ukraine to these challenges.
