March 12th: A Day of Coordinated Russian Attacks

According to Главком: On March 12, Russian military forces launched assaults on the Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine, inflicting civilian casualties and significant destruction. These attacks are part of a sustained campaign targeting both frontline and border areas. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, two people were wounded after enemy forces struck the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts more than ten times using artillery and drones.

  • In the Nikopol district, the cities of Nikopol and Marhanets came under fire, resulting in damage to industrial facilities and residential apartment buildings.
  • In the Synelnykove district, Russian strikes hit the Mykolaivka community, setting a private home and an outbuilding ablaze. A man and a woman were injured in this attack and hospitalized in moderate condition.

Shelling and Drone Assaults in Chernihiv and Sumy

During the night of March 12, Russian troops shelled the Koriukivka district in Chernihiv Oblast. Tragically, a 15-year-old girl was killed in this bombardment, and her parents were wounded. Furthermore, on March 11, Russian forces carried out a drone strike on a district police department in Shostka, Sumy Oblast. The attack completely destroyed the police station building and left more than 22 police officers wounded.

Earlier on the morning of March 11, Russian forces also attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with a drone, causing deaths and injuries. A meat processing plant in Kharkiv was damaged in the strike.

These incidents underscore the relentless nature of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and its devastating impact on civilian life and infrastructure.

The situation remains critical as such bombardments continue to cause loss of life and the destruction of vital infrastructure.
