Russian Military Assaults on Dnipropetrovsk Region

According to Главком: Russian military forces launched more than 20 strikes on three districts within the Dnipropetrovsk region, employing drones, artillery, and 'Grad' multiple rocket launchers. These attacks resulted in civilian injuries and significant damage to infrastructure.

Affected Communities

The Nikopol district saw attacks on the communities of Nikopol, Marhanets, and Pokrovsk. A 42-year-old man was wounded and hospitalized in moderate condition. The strikes caused damage to a range of civilian sites in these areas, including:

• industrial facilities
• a secondary school
• banks
• a post office
• a cafe
• a store
• approximately ten vehicles

In the Bohdanivska community of the Pavlohrad district, a 48-year-old woman was wounded and is also in moderate condition. The shelling ignited fires in homes and cars. Attacks also hit the Dubovyki and Vasylkiv communities in the Synelnykiv district, where an 87-year-old woman was injured. A fire broke out, severely damaging a residence.

These strikes are part of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which continues to inflict severe human and material costs. The targeting of civilian infrastructure and residential areas underscores an escalation of violence in regions already scarred by the war.

Restoring damaged infrastructure and providing medical aid to the wounded remain critical priorities for local authorities and humanitarian organizations. The Dnipropetrovsk region, a key industrial and logistical area, has been a frequent target since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.
