Attacks Target Kharkiv and Other Ukrainian Regions

According to Главком: Russian forces carried out a series of attacks on Kharkiv and other parts of Ukraine using strike drones on March 24-25, 2026. Impacts were recorded in several districts of Kharkiv, including the Kholodnohirskyi and Novobavarskyi areas. In the Kholodnohirskyi district, a strike on a residential area resulted in civilian injuries. Another drone hit near an apartment building, igniting several parked cars.

Impact on Residents and Infrastructure

In the Novobavarskyi district, a private house was attacked, injuring two people. Separately, on March 24 around 5:20 AM, an enemy FPV drone struck a passenger train car at the Slatyne station on the Slatyne-Kharkiv route in the Kharkiv region. This attack on the train killed one person and injured others. These assaults are part of a broader pattern of Russian strikes targeting civilian infrastructure far from the front lines.

Beyond Kharkiv, Russian forces also struck the Poltava community on the night of March 23-24, damaging residential buildings and a hotel structure. That same night, drones attacked Zaporizhzhia, hitting an apartment building. This combined strike in Zaporizhzhia resulted in one fatality and injuries to five more people.

These coordinated attacks occurred amid an intensification of military action across Ukraine, highlighting the ongoing escalation of the conflict. The use of drones to target civilian objects underscores evolving Russian tactics and the persistent threat to non-combatants. The situation remains volatile, demanding continued international attention and support for regional security efforts.

The recent drone strikes on Kharkiv are part of a troubling trend of increased attacks across Ukraine. Similar incidents have also targeted other regions, including Kyiv and Sumy, resulting in numerous casualties.
