Strikes Target Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts
According to МВС: Russian military attacks on Ukraine's Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions have resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, including children. In the Kharkiv region, a drone struck a residential building in the town of Chuhuiv, killing one man and injuring two women.
Separately, an airstrike hit the city of Zaporizhzhia, wounding ten people. Among the casualties were two children: an 11-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. Medical assistance is being provided to all the injured. These regions have been on the front lines of the conflict since Russia's full-scale invasion began in 2022.
Humanitarian Impact and Call for Action
The attacks underscore a continued escalation of violence in areas that have endured prolonged conflict. The targeting of civilian infrastructure and the harm inflicted on children highlight the severe humanitarian consequences of the ongoing war for local communities.
This situation demands an urgent response from the Ukrainian government and international organizations to ensure the safety and provide support for the affected victims. The international community continues to monitor such incidents as violations of international humanitarian law.
