Mykolaiv Targeted by Drone Assault

According to Главком: A Russian kamikaze drone attack struck the city of Mykolaiv, injuring three men and damaging buildings. The assault, carried out using Iranian-designed 'Shahed' drones, wounded men aged 19, 23, and 42. Two of the victims required hospitalization, while the third received medical treatment at the scene.

The strike damaged a private residential house and ignited a fire in an outbuilding, a gas pipe, and a pile of rubbish. Firefighters extinguished the blaze. The impact site was later examined by pyrotechnic and chemical units from Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES).

A Pattern of Recent Attacks

This incident is part of a series of assaults on the southern port city. On March 4, a Russian attack damaged transport infrastructure in Mykolaiv, sparked a fire, and hospitalized a man with minor injuries. Furthermore, an explosion occurred on February 23 at a disused gas station, injuring seven patrol police officers, all of whom were hospitalized.

The State Emergency Service confirmed that three people were wounded in the Russian UAV attack on the city, with two men hospitalized and the third treated at the scene.

Mykolaiv, a key shipbuilding center, has been a frequent target since the war's early stages due to its strategic location near the Black Sea. The attack underscores Russia's continued use of long-range drone tactics to strike civilian areas, highlighting the persistent threat faced by residents in frontline regions and the ongoing need for enhanced air defenses.
