According to Главком: On January 27, Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) struck a passenger train in the Kharkiv region. The incident occurred near the village of Yazykove, within the Barvinkove territorial community of the Izium district. The train was operating on the Chop – Kharkiv – Barvinkove route. This attack is part of a pattern of strikes on civilian infrastructure that has intensified in recent months.

The assault resulted in two impacts near the train and one direct hit on a passenger carriage, which ignited a fire. There were over 155 passengers on board at the time. As of the latest reports, three people have been confirmed killed. Two other passengers, a man and a woman, sought medical attention. Preliminary information indicates three Shahed-type drones were used in the attack, with strikes occurring in front of the locomotive and on a passenger car.
