The assault began with drones striking a residential area, igniting a fire in a private home. This initial attack left three civilians wounded.

While firefighters were battling the blaze, they were deliberately targeted in a second strike. Another drone was used to directly hit a fire engine, resulting in its complete destruction. Fortunately, none of the emergency service personnel were killed.

Persistent Threat to Civilians and First Responders

This incident is part of a broader pattern of Russian aggression. Just hours earlier, at 1:35 AM on March 7, a Russian missile struck a five-story residential building in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv. These attacks underscore the ongoing danger faced by civilians and rescue services across Ukraine.

Targeting first responders and civilian infrastructure represents a significant escalation and violates international humanitarian law.
