Alongside these, 151 unmanned aerial vehicles were deployed, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and decoy systems known as Parody. The launches originated from several locations: Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Prymorsk-Akhtarsk, occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.

By 09:00 on August 8, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that 135 drones had been shot down or suppressed across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine. Missile strikes and 13 attack drones hit 12 locations, with debris falling recorded at 7 other sites. A number of missiles failed to reach their intended targets, and the information is still being clarified. The assault was still under way, with hostile drones remaining in the airspace.
