Recent Attacks in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk Regions

According to Главком: Russian forces launched attacks on settlements in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions on March 2, resulting in civilian casualties and significant damage. In the Zaporizhzhia district, the village of Komyshuvakha was struck with guided aerial bombs. This attack wounded two girls, aged 9 and 15, destroyed one house, and damaged several neighboring buildings. These regions have been frequent targets since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

That same morning, Russian forces also struck the city of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The attack damaged an industrial enterprise, sparking several fires. The heads of the respective regional military administrations, Ivan Fedorov for Zaporizhzhia and the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration for Kryvyi Rih, confirmed the details of these assaults.

Statement from Ukraine's President

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russian forces are preparing for further escalation and have no intention of halting their offensive operations.

'We know the Russians are not planning to stop their strikes. That is a fact. They are preparing new attacks on infrastructure. Our intelligence has the relevant information.' Volodymyr Zelenskyy

This situation underscores the severe and ongoing threat faced by Ukrainian regions under continued military aggression. The persistent targeting of civilian areas highlights a deliberate strategy to terrorize the population and cripple essential services.

The ongoing attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, particularly in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, point to a dangerous escalation of the conflict and increased risks for the local population. In the face of this aggression, Ukraine's readiness to counter threats and the sustained support of the international community for regional security remain critically important. These latest events confirm that the conflict is far from resolution, with no reduction in the intensity of hostilities in sight.
