Russia Signals Readiness to Resume Trilateral Talks After November 4, Awaiting Ukraine’s Response
Diplomatic Talks on Ukraine
According to 5 канал: Russia has announced its willingness to reengage in trilateral negotiations involving the United States and Ukraine following November 4. Plans include holding a preliminary meeting between the three parties in early November. Ukraine has expressed its openness to talks at any time, but the timing depends on Moscow’s position.
Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov stated, "The next deadline is November 4... After that, we will be prepared to restart the negotiations."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently spoke by phone with U.S. special envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. They reviewed the outcomes of recent meetings in Oslo and Salzburg and discussed the next steps to advance the diplomatic process. Zelensky expressed willingness to consider a ceasefire along the current frontlines, emphasizing Ukraine’s need for security guarantees from the United States and European allies.
Involving International Partners
Moscow also highlighted the importance of including European nations in the dialogue. Ushakov emphasized, "It is insufficient to speak only with Kyiv; it is necessary to engage all of Europe, which fully supports Kyiv, and Europe’s position here may be crucial."
Furthermore, Chinese President Xi Jinping has declared Beijing’s readiness to collaborate with all involved parties to help resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This underscores that the diplomatic efforts surrounding Ukraine remain a focal point of international concern, with new negotiations anticipated.
Reviving the negotiation process could mark a significant step toward easing regional tensions and pursuing peaceful conflict resolution. The inclusion of European partners alongside China’s involvement may signal broader global backing for a diplomatic solution, potentially reshaping the dynamics of the talks and opening new pathways to settle the dispute in Ukraine.
