Russia continues to illegally export grain from temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine
According to hvylya.net: Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has taken about 15 million tons of Ukrainian grain, and this figure continues to grow, reported the Center for Counteracting Disinformation.
'For example, in occupied Zaporizhzhia, the aggressor country takes grain from farmers at low prices. Even small volumes of the harvest, which were supposed to be used for the region's own needs and sowing, are exported to the ports of Rostov-on-Don. The grain is mixed with Russian grain and sent for export, complicating its tracking and allowing the aggressor country to bypass sanctions'
In 2023 and 2024, grain from the occupied territories of Ukraine accounted for about 3% of the total harvest of the Russian Federation.
'Currently, the Kremlin plans to increase this percentage, as in Russia itself this year, due to drought, sanctions, and limited access to equipment, they will harvest a 'compact harvest', and grain sales in June have already decreased by 34.5%', - emphasized the Center.
It has been noted that Russia continues to illegally extract grain from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, exporting it to its territories for further export. This threatens Ukraine's economy and violates international norms.
