Drone and Artillery Attacks Target Odesa and Zaporizhzhia Regions

In the early hours of April 9, Russian forces attacked the Odesa region with strike drones, hitting a critical infrastructure facility and causing damage. Separately, Russian invaders shelled the Zaporizhzhia district. A morning artillery barrage there killed at least one person and wounded four others. Several private houses were destroyed in the village of Balabyne.

On April 8, Russian occupation forces struck the Zaporizhzhia district with guided aerial bombs, destroying and damaging residential buildings and non-residential structures. Fires erupted at the impact sites. The city of Zaporizhzhia also came under fire, causing a blaze in a garage cooperative and wounding a 47-year-old woman.

In a further assault, Russian invaders struck the Sumy region. An attack on the Romenska community killed one person and injured three others. The hostile shelling damaged the residential sector and infrastructure in Sumy, also igniting fires in a home and a non-residential building.
