According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian media have revealed that Russia is spreading fake statements regarding the prisoner exchange process. In particular, false claims are actively circulated that Ukrainian servicemen do not want to leave Russia, and that delays in the exchange are related to the immorality of the Ukrainian side.

In light of the circumstances, it is convincingly proven that the statements of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs are merely part of the information operation being carried out by Russia. Their goal is to discredit the prisoner exchange process and sow distrust towards the Ukrainian authorities. This is unequivocally refuted by the facts: Ukraine has always been ready for an exchange based on the principle of 'all for all'. Any delays in the exchange arise from Russia's position, which uses prisoners as a tool for political pressure, - stated the Center for Counteracting Disinformation.

Fake narratives are also being spread that Ukrainian soldiers specifically dream of being captured, even from the very beginning of their service. This information is condemned, but such manipulations have been previously falsely disseminated, including through fake statements on behalf of Ukrainian prisoners.

Powerful information-psychological campaign by Russia

Moreover, Ukrainian intelligence warned about Russia's preparation for a large-scale information-psychological operation aimed at provoking outrage in Ukrainian society and discrediting Ukraine on the world stage. Plans are in place to spread stories about the 'unwillingness' of the Ukrainian authorities to return the bodies of fallen soldiers and civilians.
