Deployment of hypersonic missiles 'Oreshnik' in Belarus

According to ХВИЛЯ: Russia is likely deploying new hypersonic ballistic missiles 'Oreshnik' in Belarus, specifically near the city of Krichev. These missiles may be stationed at a former airbase in the eastern part of the country. According to analysts, the mobile launchers that will be used for launching the missiles are 90% likely to be based specifically in the Krichev area.

Krichev is located approximately 307 km east of Minsk and 478 km from Moscow. Construction related to the deployment of the missiles began between August 4 and 12. Photos taken on November 19 revealed a 'military railway transshipment point' surrounded by a protective fence, indicating activity in this region.

Military plans and their consequences

Vladimir Putin stated that the plans involve the deployment of 'Oreshnik' systems with a range of up to 5500 km.

Alexander Lukashenko also announced the arrival of up to 10 'Oreshnik' type missiles. However, experts estimate that the identified site is sufficient only for three launchers, which may indicate limitations in the scale of deployment.

The deployment of hypersonic missiles 'Oreshnik' in Belarus could significantly alter the military situation in the region, as these missiles are capable of hitting targets at considerable distances, creating additional pressure on neighboring countries, particularly Poland and the Baltic states. These events indicate an intensification of military cooperation between Russia and Belarus, as well as an increase in tension in the context of security in Eastern Europe.
