Russia strikes the historical center of Kherson: what the occupiers damaged
According to glavcom.ua: On the night of September 24, Russian troops shelled the historical part of Kherson, causing fires and significant damage to buildings. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the head of the Kherson military administration, Yaroslav Shank.
«That night, the historical part of Kherson was hit. The enemy deliberately targeted the old buildings. The houses have been significantly damaged. Fires broke out as a result of the shelling,» Shanko reported.
No casualties reported
According to him, there were no casualties, and one local resident managed to escape from a fire in his own home. Currently, social workers from the Kherson city military administration have visited all damaged houses, providing residents with necessary consultations.
Incidents continue
It is reminded that on August 31, the Russian occupation army shelled the center of Kherson, resulting in injuries. Around 10:00 this morning, Russian troops covered the Central District of Kherson with artillery fire. One of the city’s medical facilities was hit, and a 54-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds to the abdomen.
As a result of the shelling of the historical part of Kherson, fires and serious damage to houses occurred, but no casualties were reported. This is not the first similar incident in the city; Russian troops regularly shell the center of Kherson, posing a threat to local residents and the historical heritage of the city.
